At 15:15 on December 2, 2024, the first LNG tanker truck fully loaded with liquefied natural gas rolled out of the Wenzhou Huagang LNG Receiving Terminal, marking the successful conclusion of the terminal’s commissioning and trial run phase, and officially ushering in a new stage of commercial operation.

The Wenzhou Huagang LNG Storage and Peak-Shaving Center Project leverages the deep-water shoreline resources of Wenzhou Port and is designed to meet the region's urgent demand for energy conservation, emission reduction, and clean energy development. Once completed, the terminal will become a key natural gas storage and peak-shaving base in southern Zhejiang, significantly enhancing regional emergency response and supply stability. It will further provide strong energy support for the economic growth of Wenzhou and surrounding areas, while contributing to the implementation of national energy-saving and emission-reduction policies.

Starting from September 20, 2024, under the leadership of Sepmem's Project Manager Zeng Mingguo and Site Manager Li Taicheng, and through the close collaboration of engineers from various specialties, the BOG (Boil-Off Gas) reliquefaction project at the Wenzhou Huagang LNG Terminal progressed steadily. Within just ten days, by September 30, the commissioning of both NG reliquefaction units was successfully completed. After nearly two months of continuous commissioning and optimization, both units passed performance evaluations on November 30, meeting all required performance indicators.

As the technical partner for this project, Chengdu Sepmem Technology Co., Ltd. was fully responsible for the design, equipment supply, installation, and commissioning of the BOG reliquefaction systems at the Wenzhou Huagang LNG Receiving Terminal. Tackling the technically challenging task of managing two reliquefaction units with a total capacity of 13.5 t/h, Sepmem successfully completed China's first project that used LNG tanker trucks to precool two 160,000 m³ storage tanks, achieving true “zero” emissions of BOG.

By bringing the reliquefaction units into successful production and reaching their designed capacity, the Sepmem team worked closely with the client to fully recover BOG during the precooling of the storage tanks—achieving practical “zero” emission results. The successful completion of this project not only showcases Sepmem's outstanding technical capabilities in the LNG field but also vividly reflects the company’s core values of “Create Excellence, Achieve Win-Win Cooperation.”
