On January 14, 2025, delegation from Indonesia's BOSOWA Group visited Chengdu Sepmem Energy Inc. for an in-depth discussion on the natural gas market and related development technologies. The meeting focused on the current state and future prospects of the energy sectors in both China and Indonesia, particularly in the natural gas field. Both parties shared insights into their respective strengths and explored opportunities for collaboration.
The BOSOWA delegation, including Mr. Reno, director of BOSOWA’s Energy Division, and business managers Iman and Ahmad, expressed their gratitude for Sepmem’s warm reception and highly recognized the company’s advanced technologies and extensive experience in the natural gas sector. In his welcome speech, Chairman Mr. Zhang highlighted the vast potential for energy cooperation between China and Indonesia. He emphasized that natural gas is a key pillar in the global energy transition, and both sides have significant room for collaboration in areas such as technology, management, and market development.
Sepmem has accumulated strong technical and managerial expertise in the natural gas sector, offering innovative and proprietary solutions in natural gas processing, storage, and utilization. The company has also achieved notable progress in energy efficiency and low-carbon technologies. Particularly in the treatment of scattered gas sources, Sepmem has demonstrated unique strengths, making it well-positioned to deliver efficient, safe, and environmentally friendly solutions tailored to the Indonesian market.
Currently, Indonesia still relies heavily on diesel generators for both industrial and residential power supply, placing increasing pressure on the environment. To address this, the country is actively promoting the adoption of clean energy sources such as LNG and CNG. However, challenges such as aging infrastructure, limited automation and intelligence levels, and insufficient processing capacity are hindering the high-quality development of its LNG industry.
This exchange served as a valuable platform for communication between Sepmem and BOSOWA, paving the way for future cooperation. The two parties engaged in constructive discussions on market demand, technological innovation, and policy support, and reached a consensus on deepening their partnership. Going forward, Sepmem will provide comprehensive support in technology transfer, market development, and LNG plant operations management, striving to achieve mutual benefit and shared growth in the energy sector.
